Inspired by Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer’s teachings, the Honourable Harvest event was the perfect way to close this course, it brought together everything we’d learned about reciprocity, gratitude, and relational responsibility.

What stood out most to me was how everyone brought something unique to the table, whether it was food, creativity, organization, or simply presence. It reminded me that giving isn’t always about what you have, but how you share it. I loved contributing in a way that felt true to me, and seeing others do the same created a strong sense of care and connection in the room.

The atmosphere was warm, thoughtful, and full of meaning. It wasn’t just about eating together, it was about honoring the land, each other, and the knowledge we’d been entrusted with over the semester. It helped me realize that reciprocity isn’t just a theory, it can be shown. And this event embodied that beautifully.
